Car Stereos: stereo hookup, stereo hookup, inch subs

Question
last night i had two gentlemen hook up 2 Kenwood Type W 12 inch subs and a 2000W Pyramid Amp.  I had to go out and buy an aftermarket CD player, hookup wires, and instal kit to replace the old bose head unit.  When everything was done, the head unit was in and working, the subs and amp were functioning perfectly, but there is no sound coming from the speakers.  I once disconnected the battery before and when I got back in the car, i had to put in a code for the anti-theft security system through the stock head unit.  When we disconnected the battery to attach the 4 gauge wiring, I have a feeling that i needed to put the code back in but the new head unit did not ask for a code.  Since the wiring is already connected to the battery should i take out the new head unit, put back in the old head unit back in, put in the code, then disconnect the old head unit, and put back in the new head unit?  Disconnecting the old one after putting the code in, would the new head unit be able to play the sound through the speakers?  How can i get the sound to come out of my speakers?  I think this is an issue with the security system but what do you think?

Answer
Hi Collin

This is not a security issue, you mentioned that you had the bose HU, so all your speakers work from factory amplifiers, you arent getting sound because you need to power them up, when you took the factory HU out they stopped receiving 12V switched, so what you need to do is.

* Take the new radio out
* Look for a Blue/white wire on the harness that you purchased.
* connect this wire to the Blue/white wire coming from your new radio, connect this wire along with the remote turn on lead for your amp.
* put the new radio back.

And Voila'. Muaic

Cheers.
