Can you explain the MCC number.  Is it a federal number, and how can I apply for my own?

Hi Karah, The MCC Number is the Fedral Permit that makes you legal to operate "for hire" in more than one state. In other words, if one charges for hauling and run in more than one state, he will need an MCC number.  I happen to operate a Transportation Consulting Office, and one of my services is to obtain MCC number for clients.
