Truck Repair: L-10 fuel injection pump specs, vegetable oil fuel, fuel injection pump

I am experimenting with converting an L-10 cummings engine to run on straight vegatable oil.  Because vegatable oil is heaver and pulls harder than diesel, I want to add an electric lift pump after the vegetable oil fuel tank. The pump will push the oil through the fuel filter, through some heater exchange elements, and then to the injection pump.  Will adding this pump hurt the injection pump in any way and what should the electric pump psi be and how muck flow does it need to put out.

I would have to look into how much GPM the gear pump in the fuel pump flows to give you the best answer.I never worked on the fuel pumps for certification reasons,we had 1 man certified for P/T fuel pump repairs.Might have to put a larger fuel filter on the frame like a clear bowl type with a heater built into it.
