Truck Repair: 2004 QSM11 problems, marine distributor, ed stewart

I am in the process of buying a boat with marine 2004, 650 hp QSM11 engines. I have yet to have it surveyed, but was wondering if you were aware of any problems with these engines (I don't feel I can get an unbiased opinion from Cummins). I have looked at 2 or 3 boats with 2004 engines and have found that they either have very low hours (10) or one or both of the engines has been replaced. If you are unfamiliar with marine engines, would you please direct me to someone who can help me?

Yes I am unfirmiliar with the marine engines but Cummins Mid South in southern La(Morgan City,La) is the #1 marine distributor.Kenner's phone# is 504-468-3535,tehy can direct your call to them.Morgan City's number is not in my book.Or call 1-800 DIESELS(1-800-343-7357)to get their number.
