Truck Repair: n-14 hard to start, oil pressure, fuel filter

Question
I have a 98 model n-14 that is hard to start engine has to turn maybe 10 -15 seconds before it will fire . truck has 930000 miles on it with nothing ever been done as far as rods and main brgs. oil pressure still at 35 lbs  could brgs. be worn enough in that it is not building oil pressure fast enough to let it fire

Answer
Oil pressure should not make a difference --- the fuel system has a check valve --- the valve is usually is located in the main fuel line between the fuel tank and the fuel filter.  If this valve is starting to fail this could cause your problem --- also a weak fuel pump - a plugged fuel filter -- these can also cause your problem -- start with the filter -
