Truck Repair: 98 GMC Sonoma Pickup, gmc sonoma, costly repair

Question
Got an oil change and now have problems with the drain plug leaking. I took it to the place where I received the oil change, but the problem persists. Do I keep going back until satisfaction is reached? Can I fix it myself, and if so how do I fix it?
Thanks for you time, J

Answer
One of two things has happened -- they stripped the threads in the oil pan or the gasket on the plug is cracked or missing -- If the oil pan is stripped then it will be a costly repair -- If the gasket is cracked or missing on the plug it will cost you the gasket.  Personally I would take it back until satisfaction is reached -- and since you took it back once already and the problem was not fixed I would say it the oil pan is probably stripped from overtightening or crossed threads --

Good Luck

Thank you

Eric
