Truck Repair: accessorie drive leak, hash marks, cam gear

Question
How difficult is it to change the bearing and seal in the Cummins accessory drive on an N14?
What is the easiest procedure?

Answer
First you have to remove the fuel pump, air compressor,& accy drive. Then you can get a bushing driver & replace the bushing. The accy drive MUST be timed to the engine to adjust the valves & Injectors. There is a mark(2 hash marks in a groove on cam gear) & 2 dots on the accy drive.Depending on if it is a straight gear or helical gears, the timing mark will be on A on the pulley.Cummins usually marks the 2 teeth with a yellowish marker so when you get the accy drive off, turn engine until you see it.I would turn engine to the A mark before taking pulley off.You will also need a pulley installer since it is pressed on.
