Vintage Cars: 1980 mercedes sl350, electric windows, multimeter

the electric windows on my car will not close have checked fuse all ok

Answer
if the motor for the window cannot be heard then probably in the switch,easy to fix the switch , needs cleaned most likely .  See here

also make sure you have 12v on both sides of fuse and wiring to switch is intact - you will need a multimeter
