Vintage Cars: seafoam, vacuum booster, mercedes benz 280

Question
QUESTION: i heard about seafoam and researched it online. seen diy youtube video so decided to try it. i couldn't locate the intake hose so poured a 1/4 can into the throttle valve housing under the air cleaner. did i mess up ? i put the rest in the gas tak. by the way i have a 1979 mercedes-benz 280 e with 250000 miles on it.

ANSWER: no you will be fine, not the best method but it is OK,  in the tank will be fine as well, if your throtle body and valves are real bad pouring it into the intake maky cause hard start, running, but it will resolve

QUESTION: Thanks ron just one more last question how exactly do i go about seafoaming my benz when i did it i didnt let it sit for 5 to 10 min so i didnt get the full effect. do i have to go through the throttle housing or is there a vacuum line that i go through\

Answer
I would get engine warm, with idle reved , pour a bit slowly down throtle body, ( 6 ounces or so) , you can pour some into PCV valve opening as well
you can also pour a whole can or what is left into gas, pour half can into oil fill ( change oil after 50 miles or so)

Turn off car , wait 5 minutes or so , start - will be rough for a few minutes
good luck
