Vintage Cars: FIAT Chrome part, old, dont know what it is, catherine sutton, flat chrome

QUESTION: Hello, I have two heavy chrome flat matching pieces that are squarish circles (not true circles - just a little "off" )which are heavy chrome, and say FIAT, and look like something off an old vehicle.  They with a have a cut out design roughly a resembling a burner on an electric stove or a vent cover or a speaker cover, if such a thing were made of chrome.  The design is cut out, although at least half of the surface is flat chrome, and maybe just less than half is cut out space.  It is about 4.5" across and up and down - and at first glance it does look like a circle, and it is very similar in size to a CD - but just a tiny bit bigger due to its not truly round shape.  It says FIAT in all caps in the center.  However the lettering, all caps, doesn't look like what I have seen when I research FIAT.  The capital letters are all in line across the top and bottom - the I looks like a pillar, with a foot at bottom and top -  all the letters have a foot at the bottom.  The A for example, at the top, has a part that sticks out to the left. On the back side there are prongs that are small.  It almost looks like a burner for an electric stove.  I have photos and am attaching them to this note.  Could you help me find out what this is?  Thank you!
