Vintage Cars: 1975 280s, vacuum lines, 280s


Question
so i have a 1975 280s Mercedes only 78k miles... one owner before me ive had the car for 2 months now the car i believe,was never driven ive been having problems with hesitation when accelerating after being stopped at a light or what ever. and ive noticed now its doing this jerking like bucking while driving? i just did a tune up changed spark plugs and new points,Distributor Rotor,Distributor Cap the carb looks fine so what  should i check?im just so confused what to do im having my moms boyfriend put the new parts on for me he says that everything looks fine so not sure why its still doing this hesitation.. its hard to fine a shop around here that knows anything about this car ;( i live in fort myers florida. so if u have any tips for me it would be awesome .xo karrie

Sounds like fuel delivery - have the lines been flused, filters changed?

also dwell  and timing issues are common,  those need to be set to spec.  look for any loose vacuum lines .
Pull a plug and let me know the color of the end, could also be fuel filter - there are two, or fuel pump, just gotta  rule out things one at a time.
