I want to know how possible it is to convert my automatic to a manual. I would love make full use of a really great engine. I guess I would need to know if it is possible, where to get the kit, how difficult it is etc.  Thanks!  Todd

it is a "want" of  many SL owners, problem is that it is nearly impossible without a donor manual SL which are rare as hens teeth.  Don't get me wrong, it can be done in other ways but it will not be mercedes parts and it will take a lot of effort and $.  Best bet - enjoy your automatic and shift through the ranges. I have been in this a long time, I know of no kits or aftermarket add -ons
