Vintage Cars: 57 cheve, rear fender, side strip

Question
QUESTION: hi i bought a 57 chevy 4 door Bel-air 210. and i looked at n.a.d.a and now i am confused, i believe mine is a sports coup because of the large chrome front bumper and grill work and chrome on hood. when i go to look for value it has a listing for a 210 chevy, and then a Bel-air 210, could you tell me the difference between  a 57cheve 210 and a 57cheve 210 Bel-air. and such thanks.

ANSWER: There is no such thing as a 1957 "Bel-Air 210."  The basic model was the 150, the mid-range series was the 210, and the top-line trim level was the Bel-Air.  They all had the same bumpers and chrome trim on the hood; the difference is in the side trim.  The 150 had a simple chrome side strip, the 210 had two pieces that formed sort of a triangle on the rear fender (in between was often painted a contrasting color) where it had "Chevrolet" in script just ahead of the tail light, and the Bel-Air had a stainless-steel applique in this same triangular area, with "Bel-Air" in gold script.

QUESTION: what is the difference between sports , and sedan

Answer
In the 50s and 60s, a Chevrolet "sedan" was just that, a 4-door sedan with a pillar between the doors and frames around the side windows.  A "Sport Sedan" was the 4-door hardtop; if you roll down the windows and there's no middle post and no frames around the glass, then you have a Sport Sedan.
