Vintage Cars: 1965 or 1966 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88?, vertical bars, horizontal bar

Is it possible to tell the difference between an Oldsmobile
Dynamic 88 made in 1965 and 1966 or even 1867?  I mean by
simple visual means.  Do they look the same on the exterior and the interior?  Is there a way to find out as far as paperwork, eg. the VIN?

That's easy, just at look at the horizontal grille bars between the headlights.  The '65 had 2 wide bars, often color-keyed to the cars' paint, and the 7 or 8 vertical bars are all behind the horizontal ones, almost invisible.  The '66 has one narrow horizontal bar with a slim, concave vertical bar right in the middle, quite prominent compared to the '65 vertical bars.  Also, the '65 had chrome letters spelling out O-L-D-S-M-O-B-I-L-E along the bottom edge of the hood, just above the grille; no such letters at all in this area on the '66.
