Vintage Cars: 1979 Production numbers, chevy monte carlo, google search

I have a 1979 monte carlo with manual transmission, and was wondering how many they made that year? It is also the medium green, can tell how many they painted this color? Thank for all your help, some is better than none.

Are you 100% sure this car was built by Chevrolet with the manual transmission?  I've never seen or heard of one; if it's factory original, then you could count on one hand the number that were made, and yours is probably the only surviving example.  Most likely, a previous owner had the original automatic exchanged for a manual.  To know for sure, you need to do a Google search for something like "Chevy Monte Carlo forums."  Once you find a site devoted to Montes of this era, with a forum where you can ask these questions, then you'll be able to get a lot more detailed info.  But if your car is original, it is EXTREMELY rare.
