Vintage Cars: 65 mustang, oil pressure gauge, car engine coolant

Question
I just got car started after it has sat in old barn for at least 10 years.  Has clicking noise from water pump. Oil pressure gauge sat on high entire time I had engine running which was just a few minutes.  Antifreeze and oil level OK.  Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Not sure what you are asking.  Car seems to run, high pressure could have to do with old thick oil, did you change it?  did you change the oil filter?  it could be plugged up.

if the ticking is coming from the water pump, then pull it and check.  Also remember the timing gears/chain are behind the water pump, could they be making noise?

Change ALL the fluids in the car, engine, coolant, tranny and rear axle.  While doing this inspect everything.

Be a good idea to drain the gas tank and see if it has rust (probably) then clean and seal it before it causes other problems.  Check Eastwood Company for a kit to do this.
