Hi Jeff!  We just bought a used 1979 MGB LE convertible and I was wondering if you knew how many of these LE cars were actually made?  Thanks very much for your help!

There were 6,668 MGB LEs were built during its two-year production life (1979-1980).  I can't find a breakdown for the individual years, but there is a website and club devoted to this model:
