Vintage Cars: Need to locate VIN on 70 Torino, torino gt, ford clubs

Hello. I have a '70 Torino GT car & I cannot locate a VIN. The previous owner changed the dash & the sticker on the left door has been painted over. I even unbolted the left fender on top to see if it was located there like it is on Mustangs, but no luck. Can you give me any more locations or refer me to some1 tht might know? Thanks!

I was not able to find a quick answer to your question, so I will point you to some of the various Ford clubs, and I bet there is one specifically for the Torino.  Just Google Torino clubs and see what you can find.  The clubs may have an expert in that particular car.

You could also try contacting your insurance company and see if they have an expert on the older cars.  Since most insurance companies have an interest in used parts etc, they usually have this information.

You could also try removing the paint over the data plate on the door frame.
