Among the most popular technological advancements in automobiles since the mid-1990s is the remote starter and keyless entry system. These remotes allow you to start your engine on cold days from inside your house or from as far away as a couple hundred feet. Remote starters not only control the engine, but give you remote access to your door locks, trunk and panic alarm. Among the cars utilizing this technology is the Nissan Infiniti, which features standard procedures for the remotes programmed to the system's transmitter.
Press the "Lock" button on your remote to lock all of your car's doors. Press the "Unlock" button once to unlock your driver's door and double-press the button to unlock all of the doors.
Hold down the "Unlock" button for two seconds to pop open the trunk.
Press the "Panic" button once to sound the beep on the alarm. Press and hold the button to turn the alarm on and leave it on. Press and hold the button again to turn off the alarm once it is on.
Press the "Lock" button, then press and hold the "Auto-start" button for two seconds to start the engine on your Infiniti. Press "Lock" again and hold the button for another two seconds to turn off the engine.
