How to Adjust Belts on a Honda Accord

The Honda Accord is offered in several engine sizes that require different accessory belts to operate these components, including the air conditioner, alternator, water pump and the power steering. The belts are routed around the pulleys so that when the engine is running, the crankshaft can drive the belt around each pulley. This process enables each accessory to perform its required function. If any of the belts have any type of damage, such as fraying and cracking, they need to be replaced immediately.
