The rear seat in the Volkswagen Cabrio folds down to allow you to haul larger objects. If you want to lower the rear seat, you likely tugged on the pull strap in the upper-left corner of the seat. Simply pulling on the strap will not lower the seat. To lower it, you must locate the lock that is inside the seat. This lock makes the pull strap completely irrelevant.
Open the trunk on the Cabrio and locate the lock on the rear of the seat in the upper-right corner.
Push the lock upward.
Push the seat down while you have the lock lifted up. This folds the back of the seat onto the seat cushion.
