How to Remove an Engine Cover on a Winnebago

The engine cover on a Winnebago protects the engine from dirt and dust. Unfortunately, this means you must remove it if you want to do any work on your Winnebago. You'll remove the mounting screw bolts; the cover itself essentially pulls right off.

Things You'll Need

  • Socket wrench
  • Socket set
  • Attach the 10 mm socket to the socket wrench.

  • Using the socket wrench, remove the mounting screw bolts that hold the engine cover in place. The engine cover bolts are on the outside of the cover. Depending on the year of your Winnebago, your cover should have four to six bolts.

  • Lift the engine cover up and away to expose the engine.
