The Mitsubishi 3000GT comes in many varieties including the Spyder, SL and VR-4. While only in creation from 1991 until 1999 there are still many on the road. If you own one and you blow a fuse, you can replace it on your own to save on time and money.
Turn your car off. Consult your owner's manual to find the location of the fuse you need to save time.
Find the various fuse boxes with one under the steering wheel and to the left. Open the hood and see the other two fuse boxes-one on the passenger's side and the other on the driver's side.
Open the fuse box and review the list of fuses housed in each box. Locate the one you need to replace. For instance, in a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT the interior light fuse is in slot 19.
Remove the fuse using a fuse puller or press your thumb and index finger together. Look at the wire in the middle of the fuse that's broken or melted to be sure it's blown.
Obtain a new fuse that has the same rating to replace the blown fuse. The fuse ratings are listed on the cover. In the earlier example, the interior fuse for a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT has a 10 amp rating.
Push the fuse securely into place and close the fuse box. Restart your car and test out the new fuse to verify it works.
