The MHI Bluetooth Interface Module is an add-on feature for Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the MHI hands-free system. The Bluetooth Interface Module upgrades the vehicle's MHI system with support for Bluetooth devices. This allows you to connect your Bluetooth-capable phone to your car's MHI system for wireless, hands-free calling. The module installs into the armrest of your Mercedes.
Open the center console armrest to reveal the cradle compartment.
Remove the black plastic cover by pulling it to reveal the contact plate.
Slide the Bluetooth module upwards until it clicks into place on the contact patch.
Press and hold the Mercedes-Benz logo on the Bluetooth module to put the device into "Discovery" mode. You will then be able to find it as "MB PhoneSystem" on your Bluetooth phone and add it.
