Techron is a fuel system cleaner marketed by Chevron; who claim that the concentrated Techron will help regain performance, enhance fuel economy and may also help restore broken fuel level senders. It is also said to help prevent future problems with the fuel and ignition system, such as pings, knocks and spark plug fouling. With rising fuel prices, additives like Techron are a used by do-it-yourself mechanics to try and squeeze as much mileage from each gallon of gas as possible. Using Chevron Techron in your vehicle is as easy as filling up your tank.
Open the lid of the Chevron Techron and remove the silver protective cover, by pulling the tab with your fingers.
Open your vehicle's fuel door and remove the gas cap.
Pour the full bottle of Chevron Techron into the fuel filler hole. One bottle treats up to 12 gallons, so add another bottle, if your vehicle has more than 12 gallons of fuel in it.
Close the gas cap and close the fuel door. Discard of the Chevron Techron bottle.
