How to Adjust After-Market Halo Projector Headlights for Integra

If the halo projector headlight beams on your Integra are glaring off into space or blinding oncoming traffic, you need to adjust their aim. Doing so is a straightforward but tedious process. The halo projector headlight assemblies on an Integra feature two adjustment screws that control the aim of the headlight beams. One screw adjusts the vertical aim and the other adjusts the horizontal aim. No special tools are required to engage these screws. Expect the whole process to take about thirty minutes.

Things You'll Need

  • Screwdriver
  • Tape
  • Tape measure
  • Park your Integra directly facing a wall or closed garage door.

  • Measure the height from the ground to the horizontal center of the headlight assemblies. Place a horizontal strip of tape on the wall in front of each headlight at this same height.

  • Place a vertical strip of tape on the wall directly in front of the vertical center of each headlight. This creates two tape targets for aiming your projector headlights.

  • Measure 25 feet away from the wall your Integra is facing. Place tape on the ground to mark the point. Reverse your Integra until the bumper of the car aligns above the tape on the ground. Turn on your headlights. Prop open your hood.

  • Locate the two adjustment screws on the rear of the headlight assembly. Turn the screw on the fender-side of the headlight to change the horizontal aim of the headlights. Turn the screw on the inner-side of the headlight to change the vertical aim. Aim the headlights so that the portion of highest intensity hits the wall 2 inches below and to the right of the center of each corresponding tape target.
