The 2002 Suzuki XI7 is a trim level for the Grand Vitara line. This sport utility vehicle uses halogen headlights, which will eventually burn out and require replacing. Operating the vehicle with a blown headlight will reduce visibility, causing safety concerns, therefore replace the headlight as soon as possible to provide yourself and other drivers on the road with optimum visibility. The headlight can be changed in a matter of minutes without the need for any tools.
Open the hood for access to the headlight assemblies. Trace the wires that run into the headlight assembly.
Grasp the socket and twist it counterclockwise. Pull the socket out of the headlight assembly.
Pull the tabs at the side of the socket to release the headlight. Pull the headlight away from the socket.
Push the new headlight on to the socket. The headlight will lock into place once it is pushed far enough down.
Position socket into the headlight. Twist clockwise to lock into place.
Close the hood. Turn on the headlights to ensure they are working correctly.
