When a headlight bulb burns out on your 2005 Nissan Quest it can drastically reduce your visibility in low light conditions. You can access the headlight bulbs from within the engine compartment and replace them without any tools required. The Nissan Quest uses a 9006 low beam bulb and a 9005 high beam bulb. You can buy replacement bulbs for your van from an auto parts retailer or Nissan dealership.
Open the hood of your Nissan Quest. Rest the hood on the support rod while you are changing the bulbs.
Press the retaining clip and pull the electrical connection off the bulb socket. The electrical connector will pull straight off.
Grasp the bulb socket and turn it counter-clockwise until it is free of the headlight assembly. Pull the bulb straight out of the headlight assembly.
Install the new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Press the electrical connection into position until it clicks.
Repeat the process on the opposite headlight if needed. Close the hood of your Quest and test the headlights to be sure they are functioning properly.
