How to Remove the Dash Panel on an Audi A4 1.8T

Removing the interior dash panel from your Audi A4 is a handy procedure to know if you are troubleshooting an interior rattling noise or if you are performing electrical repairs to your Audi's stereo and electronics system. To remove the dash panel, you will need about 30 minutes and a set of screwdrivers and metric Allen and socket wrenches.

  • Insert a flat-head screwdriver between the plastic dash cover on the end of the dashboard at the driver's side and the dashboard itself.

  • Pry up to pop off the plastic dash cover to remove it, exposing the fuse box.

  • Grasp the lower dash panel from the bottom, near the pedals of the car, and pull it straight down.

  • Peel the dash panel away from the car by pulling straight down and remove it completely. It is secured by several plastic clips which will release the panel if you are pulling it away with enough pressure.
