How to Replace a Headlight Bulb in a Plymouth Voyager

You can easily replace the headlights in your Plymouth Voyager if they ever burn out. Although the repair may seem challenging, performing it yourself only takes a few minutes and doesn't require any special tools. Purchase the correct replacement bulb before you start the repair.

Things You'll Need

  • #9007 replacement bulb
  • Turn the Voyager's headlight switch to "OFF." Remove the keys from the ignition and engage the parking brake for safety.

  • Use the hood release latch beneath the instrument panel to loosen the hood. Then, step out of the van and pull up on the auxiliary release latch beneath the center of the hood.

  • Extract the three screws from the top of the headlight module. Place the screws in your pocket or in a small bag for safekeeping.

  • Draw the headlamp assembly away from the car and then disconnect the electrical wiring connector.

  • Loosen the bulb socket retaining ring, and then pull the old bulb straight out of the socket. Install the new bulb directly into the socket.

  • Tighten the retaining ring back onto the socket and reattach the electrical connector.

  • Slide the headlight assembly into position and switch on the headlights. If the new bulb lights up, replace the three retaining screws and close the hood.
