Ford's 1993 F-150 pickup came standard with a 4.9-liter V-6 engine in the base model and XL trim package. The Lightning came standard with a 3.8-liter V-6. Ford offered the option of a 5.0-liter V-8 or a 5.8-liter engine in the F-150 XL. All the 1993 F-150s came with power steering as standard equipment.
Use a fluid that meets Ford specification ESW-M2C33-F in the power steering pump in your F-150. Commonly, this would be Type F automatic transmission fluid or a combination ATF and power steering fluid such as Motorcraft Type F ATF and Power Steering Fluid. Premium Power Steering Fluid, Ford part No. E6AZ-19582-AA, also meets the specification.
