How to Reset an Infinity G35x Oil Change Light

The Infiniti G35X is an all-wheel drive version of the G35 series, which began production in 2005 as a 2006 series model. The number 35 is indicative of its 3.5-liter engine. Resetting the oil change light is a standardized procedure between all relative year and make models of the Infiniti. The oil light illuminates on the dash panel to remind the owner it's time for an oil change service.

  • Apply the parking brake (standard transmission models) of the G35X and insert the key into the ignition.

  • Turn the key two clicks forward to empower the key-on/engine off mode of the vehicle.

  • Press the information center button with the square icon located on the right side of the of the information center panel. Continue to press the button to scroll through the options until "Settings" appears on the information center screen.

  • Press the button with the circle icon on the information center until "Maintenance" displays on the screen of the information center.

  • Repress the square icon button until "Engine Oil" is displayed on the screen of the information center.

  • Repress and hold the circle icon button until the engine oil light resets on the display screen of the information center.

  • Start the engine to ensure the change oil light is no longer illuminated. If it is, repeat the procedure to reset the system.
