No Power on an Honda Accord

The Honda Accord, like most modern automobiles, is powered by an internal electrical system, but sometimes those systems fail. When your Honda Accord has no power, one or more components will need to be replaced.

Dead Battery

  • The most common cause for your Honda Accord to lack power is a dead battery. The dead battery must be replaced with a brand new battery,; a jump start is only a temporary fix.

Spark Plugs

  • The second most common reason your Honda Accord lacks power is faulty spark plugs. Spark plugs deliver the high voltage from the ignition coil that causes your engine to turn; when they go bad they must be replaced.

Fuel Pump

  • Infrequently, the pump which supplies fuel to your system, fails. Your engine may seem to crank normally, but the electrical systems will not activate and the car will not move because it cannot get enough fuel to operate.
