How Do I Reset a Maintenance Lamp on Lexus LS430?

The Lexus LS430 displays a maintenance reminder light on the control panel at regular mileage intervals. When a service technician performs maintenance on the LS430, he should reset the maintenance lamp as part of the procedure. If the technician does not reset the lamp, or if you perform the maintenance on your LS430 yourself, you'll need to manually reset the maintenance lamp. Resetting the lamp turns it off until the next maintenance mileage interval is reached.

  • Insert the 2000 Civic's key into the ignition. Turn the ignition switch to the "on" position, but do not start the engine.

  • Press the trip odometer button repeatedly until the display is blank.

  • Turn the ignition switch to the "off" position.

  • Press and hold the trip odometer button. Turn the ignition switch to the "on" position.

  • Release the trip odometer button when the maintenance light goes out. If this doesn't occur after 15 seconds, release the odometer button. The light should go out.
