How to Turn Off the Perform Service Signal on a Jeep Laredo

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo comes stock with an onboard display. The display allows you to monitor the numerous systems, including routine service information, which includes oil changes. You can choose between 3,000 and 6,000 miles when the system notifies you. You will need to reset the "Service Engine" light after each oil change, which only takes a few minutes to do.

  • Press and release the "Menu" button on the steering wheel until the system warnings are displayed on the dash display. The screen will allow you to cycle through the different system warnings.

  • Press the "Function" button once to reset the "Service Engine" notification.

  • Press the "Function" button a second time within three seconds to reset all the warning lights. A "Reset All" will display during the three seconds. Not pressing anything will only reset the oil service light.
