Edelborck's Performace Heads - All Hail The Victor - Tech
Mopp 0804 01 Z+victor+cylinder

Hail the Victor! a phrase heard throughout the centuries to praise conquering heroes. Edelbrock-a name synonymous with high performance whose products are made to the highest standards of quality and tolerance-has once again shaken up the Mopar world with a new cylinder head: the Victor 440. Edelbrock's Performer RPM has been a welcomed addition to the Edelbrock lineup and breathed new life into many ground-pounding Mopars. Usually, when a manufacturer makes something right, there's no need to try and improve it, right? Well, not if you're Edelbrock. they decided to gain even more performance from their Mopar Wedge head design, and the new Victor heads are the result. If you're building a big-inch Wedge, the Victor head should give you outstanding results on your street machine and, more importantly, at the racetrack.

While the Performer RPM is a true bolt-on head-you can reuse your existing valvetrain, stamped-steel valley tray, and exhaust system-the Victor 440 heads are a new animal. A different valvetrain, a different valley tray, and different exhaust headers will be needed to use them. These obvious differences just skim the top. Edelbrock has made a completely new race head to liven up those Mopar race engines.

We were fortunate enough to get our hands on a Performer RPM and Victor 440 head that we were able to put under the bandsaw. Yes, we cut them apart so you could see the differences and understand why the Edelbrock Victor 440 head is destined to be a championship-winning cylinder head. With 280cc intake volume and 100cc exhaust volumes, as cast, these heads are going to move some air! Follow along and learn why.
