Integrated Engineering has released a new I-beam connecting rod design featuring extra-fine tolerances at each end of the rod. Each is finish-machined in the USA on a Sunnen hone machine, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is used for optimization of the beam to produce a superior strength-to-weight ratio. According to the manufacturer, Tuscan I-beam rods have been proven to withstand 1,000+ horsepower on four-cylinder applications. Tuscan I-beam rods are available in select applications for VW, Audi and BMW.

Aeromotive’s 340 Stealth is a high-output, in-tank electric fuel pump that fits most popular EFI applications. It is compact, lightweight and is designed to bolt into many existing hanger assemblies. Compared to a typical 255-lph pump at 40 psi, the Aeromotive 340 boasts 340 lph at the same pressure, which equates to about 30 percent more flow. It also employs a turbine pump for increased durability and for use in pulse modulated applications. The Aeromotive 340 Stealth pump can be used in either carbureted or EFI applications.

AEM has introduced affordable engine management with its EMS-4 standalone system for four-cylinder race applications. The unit includes a 36-pin connector that’s specifically designed to operate in harsh environments. It’s completely sealed and weather- and shock-proof, allowing it to be mounted anywhere. Features include four saturated injector drivers, four coil triggers, eight general purpose inputs/outputs, O2 and knock inputs, an 8-MB datalogger, and more. AEM supports the unit with proprietary AEMTuner software, which is Windows XP, Vista, and 7 compatible. The software is infinitely adjustable and allows tuners to program virtually any combination of engine control, power-adders and auxiliary devices.

Wheel of the Month

Forged using the most advanced manufacturing methods in the wheel industry, the Volk Racing G12 is the most technologically advanced wheel in the Volk lineup to date. Utilizing proprietary Mold Form Forged monoblock construction, Rays Engineering has incorporated the same sidecut technology that is used on the Rays Williams Formula One wheel: nearly a pound of weight has been shaved off without sacrificing any structural integrity. The G12 design was originally inspired by the centerlock race wheel used on the FIA R35 GTR racecar; fittingly, a Porsche centerlock version is due to be released later this year.
