Surefire Flashlights
Big punch in a small packageFlashlight technology has seen huge advances in the last ten years. With the development of the simple LED, lighting systems the size of rice grains are producing huge amounts of illumination.

Surefire has taken this technology to the next level, essentially building its products to military-grade specifications. The end results are incredibly effective, tough and reliable flashlights, units ready for Delta Commandos or backyard campouts.

The E2D LED Defender(r) features a solid-state, two-stage light emitting diode that generates six times the output of a typical two-D-cell flashlight at its high setting and five lumens of useful light (enough to read a map or negotiate a dark path) on low. And should 120 lumens of blinding light not be enough to convince an aggressor to back off, the E2DL's crenellated Strike Bezel(r) and scalloped tail cap provide two sets of hard-anodized aluminum "teeth" as a last line of defense.

The Defender's smaller, albeit potent brother is the E1B. Built to the same military-spec, the E1B features both dual power and an impenetrable casing so don't let its diminutive size fool you. The light produced by this thumb-size unit is amazing, enough to virtually blind bad guys or illuminate an entire room. On its "low" setting, the E1B generates five lumens of light that's perfect for reading a map, checking an ID, or navigating a dark pathway, and generates useful light levels for 37 hours. And the E1B's click-on/off tail cap is programmed to instantly deliver maximum output when its pushbutton is depressed, a critical feature in law enforcement and tactical applications where a lot of light is frequently needed immediately. Rounding out this flashlight's features are its unique "melted" styling - no knurling or sharp edges to catch on clothing - and two-way pocket clip, which lets a user carry the Backup bezel up or down, whichever he or she prefers.

No backpack, pocket or purse should be without a Surefire flashlight.
