A Dry Carbon Hood For The S2000

Seibon just released its new series of dry carbon products, including hoods, trunks, and fenders for a variety of vehicles that are both ultra-light and functional. Dry carbon products are manufactured through a dry process that consists of vacuum forging a pre-impregnated sheet of carbon fiber into a mold at pressurized high temperatures utilizing an autoclave. The process allows the carbon fiber to form into strong, lightweight composites and is the same used to produce panels for professional race cars in Formula 1, Le Mans, and NASCAR, as well as other race series.
