With average recorded gains of 18.5 horsepower, and more useable power across the rpm range, AEM's V2 intake is the most powerful air induction system available for the Acura RSX Type-S. And thanks to a shorter runner design over the company's original Cold Air induction system, the AEM RSX-S V2 is one of the easiest to install, taking less than one hour for novice tuners! The AEM V2 incorporates a revolutionary breakthrough in inlet system design that utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping). This design creates multiple frequency sound waves that help charge the cylinders with more air throughout the entire rpm range. The AEM V2 is manufactured from 6061 mandrel-bent aluminum piping and features a unique, titanium-look powdercoating that reduces heat soak and enhances looks. Because the RSX-S V2 utilizes a shorter runner length, extensive thermocouple temperature testing was performed under the hood to ensure repeatable, consistent power delivery.
