Katzkin Leather Seat Covers and Heaters
Leather seats are an expensive factory option, which oftentimes requires adding an entire upgrade package with superfluous things you don't really need. Take for example our 2010 Tahoe project SUV. We picked it up with low miles and for a low price, but it was missing some of the options found on higher-level trim packages. Rather than pass up on a great deal, we signed on the dotted line and looked for ways to make the Tahoe exactly how we wanted it. In the last three months, we've shown you how to add a lowered sport suspension with Eibach, how to install a Magnacharger supercharger, and how to make those big wheels stop via a Baer big-brake upgrade. This month, we move inside the Tahoe and transform a bland interior into an elegant place behind the wheel.
Katzkin is a worldwide leader in leather seat covers, and with factory-color options, upgraded leather and suede options, and of course, unique custom seat covers available, the choice was clear for our project. We started by going to the easy-to-use interior selector found at Katzkin.com to see what options were readily available for the three-row SUV. Much to our delight, the designers at Katzkin already had an attractive upgrade ready for the Tahoe. Under the Katzkin Design section, we found an Amaretto Tuscany wrap with chocolate Suedezkin perforated wings and black contrast stitching throughout. The look reminded us of a King Ranch F-250, and with our all-black Tahoe, the brown should really liven up our interior. To bring high-end luxury into the Tahoe, we also ordered the optional Katzkin seat heaters. Now we can be comfortable no matter the temperature outside.
