Huskys Centerline Weight Distribution Hitch

Sometimes towing a trailer is no fun at all. Like when you're fighting crosswinds, or the load isn't perfectly balanced, or the road is rough, or…well, we could go on and on but let's jump to the conclusion right away: A weight distribution hitch (with self-centering sway control) will make your life a whole lot easier. If you've never used one and make the switch, you will thank us profusely. We mean it. We paired up with Husky Towing Products and the company's Centerline weight distribution and sway control system to help make our box trailer more manageable while towing it to shows all over the state of California. First, Husky decided to really treat us nice by sending a power jack. No more cranking and cranking the awkward lever on our old manual jack. Installation (as you can see in the photos) was super easy. And to top it off, the nice folks at Husky sent us one of the Quest electronic trailer brake controllers to make the overall experience better. But we digress—back to the core of the improvements. The Centerline is not like the outdated "passive" sway control systems that rely on clamping to provide static friction that reduces (but does not eliminate) trailer sway. The Centerline system has a patented technology that creates centering forces that work against the tendency to sway, and it redistributes the weight from only the back axle of your truck to every axle (your truck's front axle, and the axle/s on the trailer). This allows for a much more balanced load. The Centerline system comes in three models for use with Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) up to 14,000 pounds. The difference in handling is remarkable. You won't ever want to tow a trailer without one again. Trust us on that.
