New Track Bar for Dodge Ram leaves the OE bar in the dust. After fielding complaints from auto parts dealers and consumers alike that Dodge Ram trucks OEM track bars were failing at low-mileage, Rare Parts, Inc., leading providers and fabricators of rare and hard-to-find suspension components, released a beefy new track bar for models manufactured between 1994 and 2002. "This was on trucks with all-around use, not just being used in heavy off-roading. We really went all out to provide a track bar that could last the life of the truck." The new track bar goes far beyond the original in terms of rugged durability and usability. The internal components are fabricated from steel instead of the original nylon, and the track bar is adjustable so that the owner has room to fully center the axle. Besides the increased wear surface, which greatly increases the longevity of the part, the 1.25" ball stud has grooves built in which allows for better lubrication. Rare Parts is known for exceeding all expectations when fabricating a part. With a full machine shop and testing facilities in-house, the company begins by testing the original equipment. Between this testing and input from customers and auto parts counter salespeople, they are able to get a very full view of the original part's limitations and what needs to be done to create a superior component. "When we fabricate a part, we conduct a lot of destructive and cycle testing to insure our part is superior," Giorgi says.
