The new Craftsman Wire Feed MIG/Gasless Welder allows precise control of both voltage and wire-feed rate, as well as a choice of MIG (metal inert gas) or gasless (flux-core) welding. It operates on a 120-volt current and is mounted on a heavy-duty cart for portability. A choice of four solid-state voltage settings lets the operator select the best heat level for different types and thicknesses of metal. The unit welds steel ranging from 24-gauge to 3/16 inch in a single pass. A built-in thermal overload protects the welder from overheating.

Pertronix's new Remote-Mount Coil is engineered to be compatible with late-model GM computer-controlled HEI distributors in '87-'95 trucks. A direct bolt-in, plug-in replacement, this coil provides 100 percent more energy and peak current and 40 percent more voltage to the spark plugs than OEM coils. A special high-temperature epoxy design resists shock and vibration while increasing thermal conductivity. This coil is also compatible with aftermarket capacitive discharge ignition systems. Flame-Thrower coils are legal in all 50 states and Canada.
