Auto Insurance Claims: being sued for bodily injury, being sued for bodily injury

Question
In 2009 I was at a full stop and let my foot off the break, nudging another car at less than 2 mph.
Other driver insisted on exchanging information. My insurance company took photos of my car, but the plaintiff had quickly had his car "fixed".
Now he is suing me, and my husband (who was not present) for extended bodily harm, including loss of work.  NO DAMAGE had been done to either car!
Our insurance company has hired an attorney to "represent me", but included a "Request for admissions" from the plaintiff's attorney asking me to admit/deny outrageous allegations, and is worded in such a way that is confusing.  Do I have to answer inappropriate questions posed by plaintiff's attorney?
I do not believe this person sustained a single injury from this incident, but he is extremely aggressive.
Should I hire my own attorney?

Answer
Hello Faye,

Well, your lawyer is supposed to protection you! - However, you work for who? For the person who pays you!

Some insurance defense lawyers are ethical and will do that, however, most answer to the adjuster and not you. You are entitled to a second opinion! Talk to an attorney when you can.

Good Luck
Anne
