Auto Insurance Claims: AUTO COVERAGE

Question
I drive a car which is technially my mothers car and i am the primary driver. the car is registered and insured in CT. i am a resident of MA. am i still covered under the insurance (being the primary driver) if i am not a resident of the state where it was insured.

Answer
Hi Ben,

You should inform the insurance company of your correct address. If they find that the car is actually parked at a different address let alone a different state it could cause a problem with coverage.

I hope this helps
