Auto Insurance Claims: judgement, insurance company, judgement

Question
I was hit from behind and my car totaled.(April 2009) My lawyer has been to court twice and both times the judge ruled in my favor.  How long does an insurance company have to pay the judgement?

Answer
Hi Jane,

This would depend on your state, but in most cases it should be paid within 30 days unless the insurance company is filing an appeal to the decision.

The answer to your questions would be best answered by your attorney. He/she is the one most familiar with your case and your state laws.

I hope this helps
