Auto Insurance Claims: claim, claim

Question
My son and husband were in an accident in 2008.  Church van rolled 3 times down kentucky highway, were from Michigan.  I was in car following.  My son was hurt and required facial surgery and shoulder surgery immediately.  Now, my son has sugnificant scarring on face and a shoulder with beginnings of arthritis, slap tear, and cyst.  It will require more surgery  on future.  We have all been affected deeply.  Insurance has offered us 200,000 on a 2 million dollar policy.  I have refused because of many factors not to mention my son is olny 16.  I have demanded 500,000.00.  Am I being unreasonable because Im suffering over this happening to my son?  Am I eligible to sue for pain and suffering?  Its a commerical policy and our insurance has covered everthing so far.  Frustrated and scarred.

Answer
Hello Jaime,

Well, it's very difficult (if possible at all) to tell you if this is worth half a million dollars. I would have to look at all the facts and medical bills. Mainly, the medical records regarding how your son will heal and how long it will take (even if it is not possible).

You really need to talk to an attorney. This claim might be worth the entire limit. There is too much on the table for you to try to deal with this on your own.

Here is a brief list of what you could potentially ask:

Consider talking to an attorney locally, they can help you more than I can.
