Auto Insurance Claims: Faulty Injury Claim, Faulty Injury Claim, car accident


Question
On July i accidentally hit a car in moving traffic because
the driver of the other vehicles put the sudden brake of
stray dog.the damage to his rear side is minimal and it
cost $664 for the insurance company.my car is left with no
damage(except the paint of the other car stick on my
front).my insurance company has informed me that the the
other vehicle driver has claimed for his bodily injury more
than 20,000$.i really have no clue what i need to do.
can you help me in this.

Getting your insurance company involved with this is the first step (which you have done). They will be able to defend you and get a lawyer for you if one is needed. Remember that your insurance company must cover you even in the case of frivolous or ludicrous lawsuits.

It is common to see attorneys ask for a very high number and work the way down (way down). This does not mean that you should not be on top of the investigation and make sure your adjuster is doing everything on her power to protect your interest. They have a duty to keep you informed, so make sure they are doing that.

Other than that, it looks like you are doing everything you can.
