Auto Insurance Claims: How to file an auto claim if I have no auto insurance., auto claim, state of kentucky

Question
I am writing from the state of Kentucky. I was driving without any auto
insurance and I was struck from behind and subsequently hit the car in front
of me. ( I know there is no excuse for driving uninsured and I am ashamed for
doing so. ) A police report was made at the scene, the officer stated that the
car behind me hit me, I hit the car in front of me ( a secondary collision ) and
all fault is placed with the car that hit me. While my car is still operational I'm
sure it is totaled. My first question is how I file a claim with the at fault
driver's insurance company on behalf of myself for damage to my property.
My second issue is that I went to the emergency room afterwards as I thought
I could have a head injury. I  am without health insurance. Is the at fault
driver's insurance required to pay my medical bills?  I would like to know how
to best represent myself to recover from this bad situation. Thank you for
your time.

Answer
Hi Jamie,

You should simply call the at-fault persons insurance comppany to report your claim. They will owe you for the cost to repair your car or its fair market value plus sales tax if totaled. You should also let them know about your medical bills. They should also pay you for your medical bills.

I hope this helps
